Sunscreen is the product with the strongest case for being fragrance-free: you wear it every day, you reapply it, it sits on your face for hours, and it goes on skin that is by definition being exposed to a trigger. The botanical problem
Fragrance-free means no fragrance or parfum was added. An essential oil is declared under its botanical name, so it does not conflict with the claim - which is how Australian Gold's Botanical tinted face SPF, a mineral formula recommended constantly for rosacea, carries eucalyptus globulus leaf extract with a perfuming function.
Citrus oils deserve a specific mention in a sun product. Several are photosensitizing - they can increase the skin's reaction to UV, which is an unhelpful property in something applied specifically before sun exposure.

- 5Ignore natural, botanical and reef-friendly on the front. None of them is a regulated term and none tells you about fragrance.
