Calm & Cream is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

How the links work

• •Every buy link on this site goes to Amazon, through a redirect on our own domain that carries our affiliate tag.
• •Links are marked with `rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"` and open in a new tab, so search engines and your browser both know what they are.
• •Every buy button carries an #ad marker and a link back to this page. Not only on some of them, and not only where a price appears.
• •A disclosure appears above the first buy link on every page that has one. A footer link on its own is not sufficient and we do not rely on one.
• •The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not out of your price. You pay exactly what you would have paid.

Why we do not publish prices

There is no live price feed behind this site. Rather than print a number that might be weeks out of date, every buy link says Check price on Amazon and means exactly that - you see the current price on Amazon's own page.

A stale price is worse than no price: it sets an expectation the retailer will not honor, and on an affiliate site it looks like a lure. If a live price layer is added later, prices will carry the date they were checked and will disappear automatically once they go stale.

The conflict, stated plainly

Earning a commission on what we recommend is a conflict of interest. Saying otherwise would be dishonest. What we can do is describe how the conflict is managed and let you judge whether that is enough.

1. 1The screen runs before any commercial consideration. Products are excluded on their published ingredient lists first. Several products in our screened-out sections would have earned us money.
2. 2Buyer-first ordering. Where a cheaper product is the better answer, it is the top pick. On several pages here the winner is a drugstore product.
3. 3Every pick names who should skip it. A recommendation with no stated downside is a sales pitch.
4. 4Some pages recommend no product at all. Where the honest answer is a clinician, or no product, the page says so - and earns nothing.
5. 5No brand relationships. No brand pays for placement, ranking or review, and no brand sees a page before it publishes.

What we are not paid to do

• •No paid product placement or paid ranking.
• •No free products in exchange for coverage.
• •No brand approval over content, before or after publication.
• •No non-Amazon affiliate programs at present. If that changes, this page will say so.

Your data

Clicking an affiliate link sets a cookie on Amazon's side that attributes a purchase to this site for a limited window. We do not receive your name, your address or your payment details - only aggregate reporting on whether a sale occurred. What we collect on this site is set out in the privacy policy.
