What this site collects, which is less than most.

Calm & Cream is operated by The First Buyer. This policy explains what the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we do not collect
- We have no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to store.
- We do not sell anything directly, so we never see your payment details.
- We run no newsletter, so we do not build a mailing list.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
What we do collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which links they use. It collects the usual web analytics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and time on page. It also records when someone clicks an outbound buy link, which is how we can tell whether a page is useful.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block them with browser settings, a content blocker, or Google's own opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
The contact form
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. We use them to reply and nothing else. Messages are retained while they are useful - typically until the matter is resolved plus a reasonable period - and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
The form also records the time the page loaded, purely as a spam check, and your IP address for rate limiting. Neither is stored beyond the request.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs - IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent - for security and operational purposes. We do not use them to build profiles.
Affiliate links
Buy links on this site route through a redirect on our own domain and then to Amazon, carrying our affiliate tag. Amazon sets a cookie so a purchase can be attributed to this site for a limited window.
We receive aggregate reporting from Amazon about whether sales occurred. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or a record of what else you bought. Once you land on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens there. Full details of how the links work are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The cookies you may receive come from Google Analytics, and from Amazon once you follow a buy link. Blocking either is entirely reasonable and nothing here stops working.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. Since the only personal information we hold is what you have emailed us, those requests are usually simple to action.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of the page will change and the substance of the change will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.
